How long does a windshield installation take?
Typically, a windshield installation will take up to two hours from start to finish. There is up to one hour to install the glass and one hour of “curing” time. Curing is the amount of time it takes the urethane adhesive to safely hold the windshield in place and allow you to drive away safely.
Will my insurance company pay for my windshield repair or replacement?
Yes, if you are insured in the state of Florida and carry comprehensive insurance, your insurance deductible will be waived 100 percent for windshield repair or replacement.
What if I only have liability coverage?
Because liability insurance only provides coverage for damages to another vehicle, windshield repairs and other auto glass services are not covered under your liability and or P.I.P. policy. Certified Auto Glass offers multiple payment options, including cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Will my insurance rates go up from a windshield repair or replacement?
No, insurance companies consider this to be a NO-FAULT LOSS. Your insurance rates will not go up on your insurance policy. In Florida, there is NO deductible for windshield repair or replacement with comprehensive coverage. A small deductible may apply to a door glass and back window replacement. We can check with your insurance company for you in advance to verify your coverage.
How does my insurance company get billed?
Certified Auto Glass is a preferred provider for all insurance companies nationwide. We can electronically bill your insurance company with no hassle to you. Please call us with any questions you might have.
What about windshield repairs for chips and cracks?
Windshield repair is safe, effective and convenient, and takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Our certified repair specialists can repair chips, nicks and small cracks. A quality windshield repair job will restore the structural integrity of the windshield, help prevent the damage from spreading and make the blemish much less noticeable, without removing and replacing the glass.
What is OEM?
OEM, or Original Equipment Manufacturer, means parts that are certified to be genuine manufacturer parts. This means the glass will be the same as what came out of your vehicle. In regards to replacing glass with another brand, that makes no difference at all; all glass that Certified Auto Glass uses meets federal motor vehicle safety standards and appearance. It is AS-1 certified and is guaranteed to fit correctly every time. We use only DOT (Department of Transportation) certified glass for every installation.
Are all of your technicians formally trained and certified?
Certified Auto Glass’s technicians are NGA certified and have up to 25 years of experience to do the job right the first time.
Do you offer a lifetime written warranty?
Yes, Certified Auto Glass guarantees in writing on your invoice, all windshield repairs, replacements, glass installations and workmanship for as long as you own your vehicle.
